For selfless dedication over many years in the creation of independence for people with physical disabilities, the Tetra Society of North America is proud to recognize Jay Drew.

During his involvement with the Tetra Society chapter in Vancouver, Jay has created dozens of devices to help the disabled lead easier and more self-sufficient lives. He has donated thousands of hours to crafting unique solutions to many problems.

Presented by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, which regulates and governs the professions under the authority of the Engineers and Geoscientists Act by setting and maintaining high academic, experience and professional practice standards for all members.

This award is made to an engineer who, through activity in professional affairs and participation in community activities, has exhibited to a notable degree that concern with public welfare which characterizes the engineering profession at its best.

Lock-Block™ Ltd., recently won a TechGREEN award from the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC). Lock-Block™ Ltd. met almost every one of the numerous and detailed criteria for the TechGREEN award. They include demonstrated leadership in green technology, positive impact on sustainable living, significant environmental benefits and a major impact on energy conservation.
